About the 2007 Convocation

November 8-11, 2007
Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport
(in Burlingame, California)

Join us for our 5th Convocation to be held November 8-11, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency
San Francisco Airport. Guided by the theme Latino Success: California’s Economic
Imperative
, the Convocation will highlight four important policy areas:

We expect 800 - 1,000 participants, including key stakeholders from higher education institutions throughout the state. In addition, the Convocation will bring together students, faculty, staff, administrators, business and corporate leaders, media representatives, elected officials, as well as community and non-profit organizational leaders to discuss the formidable access and equity challenges facing Latinos.

The Convocation will result in the creation and dissemination of valuable data, information, and strategies needed for constructive policy development and informed decision-making. Our gathering will bring together the brightest researchers and practitioners to provide insights on how we can best address the challenges posed by California’s largest and fastest growing community. Our success will be determined by our ability to join with all of higher education in responding to the needs of the Latino population.
